The management team have a wealth of scientific and commercial experience, and have led the company to its current expanding position within the environmental market.

Mark Hughes BSc (Hons), Operations Manager

Mark has worked for over 15 years in the industry, for Bodycote, Alpha Analytical and Scottish Water, and has gained wide ranging experience in all aspects of laboratory management.

Mike Cohen BSc MRSC CChem, Technical Development Manager

Mike, an experienced chemist and laboratory manager, has worked for STL, WSP and DETS.  Mike also serves on industry groups and committees such as EIC, the Landfill Regulation subgroup, SCA and MCERTS.

Hazel Davidson BSc,  Technical Marketing Manager

With over 30 years experience, and recently joining DETS from ALcontrol, Hazel is a well known chemist within the industry, and frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.  Hazel is chair of the EIC Laboratories Working Group, and sits on several committees.

Neil Dobinson BSc, Technical & Fuels Laboratory Manager

Neil has worked for over 20 years in the laboratory industry working for companies such as ICI, Northumbrian Water Scientific Services & Lintec Testing Services, as well as working in New Zealand and has gained wide ranging experience in all aspects of laboratory management. 

Nigel Halton Dip.RSA, Health & Safety Manager

Nigel Halton has a varied career background and joined DETS as Health & Safety Co-ordinator in 2002. He has progressed to Health & Safety Manager during his time with DETS and takes care of the day to day safety issues encountered within the laboratory including carrying out Risk and COSHH Assessments, safety training and implementation of the company health and safety policy.
